| Here
at Ratsalad,
we have a bustling staff of two, led by our two editors, Kristin
Gorell and Julie Puttgen.
Who exactly are we, to provide Ratsalad to all our distinguished readers?
For starters, we have more degrees than you could ever think to shake a
stick at, so you can rest assured: we’re experts at quality control.
As long-term Atlanta residents who’ve also experienced the joys of
living elsewhere here and abroad, we know this place, but we’re not
fooled.
Publication has been in the Ratsalad family for decades. In eighth grade Kristin handcrafted a satyrical series on consumer advertisements, homework, and the imagined sexuality of junior high. Death Be Not Trite was Julie’s teenage contribution to the post-nuclear suicide poetry genre, made up of hijacked submissions from her high school’s literary magazine. Now Julie’s a painter/installation artist and high school art teacher, and Kristin’s painter/performer/writer, and a soccer mom. So
you can rest assured: only the freshest and best, here at Ratsalad Deluxe! |
