Charles Matson Lume received a B.A. in Psychology from Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL and an M.A. and M.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His art has been exhibited at institutions such as: the Irish Museum of Modern Art, (Ireland), Minnesota Museum of American Art (MN), Urban Institute of Contemporary Art (MI), Pittsburgh Center for the Arts (PA), Manhattanville College (NY), Miami University (OH) Eastern Oregon University (OR), and University of Louisville (KY). Charles has received fellowships from the Bush Foundation, Jerome Foundation, and the Minnesota State Arts Board. Charles has participated in artist residencies such as: the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Science Museum of Minnesota, and the Blacklock Nature Sanctuary. His work is also a part of slide registries at The Drawing Center, NY, NY, and Artists Space, NY, NY. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Charles lives with his wife, Sarah, and daughter, Helena, in St. Paul, MN. |
