Howdy again, Ratsaladeers & gentle readers. Time for some true confessions from the Editor, who's decided it's time to detect kismet between artists who may not know each other (yet), but seem poised for some really amazing conversations. Trifecta? I'm in the middle of a mid-30's horsie revival, and it's also clear that Ratsalad DeLuxe Issue 11 could be conceived of as three issues. One: Zoosphere, including four artists dealing in the perils and delights of the natural and not-so-natural world. Two: Chaos and Adaptability, wherein we find two painters sifting through the chaos of their lives to find both more chaos, and also balance through maximalist processes. Three: Myth and Self, made up of three artists' work which is suggestive of how stories shape identity, and identity shapes stories.
I'm glad things worked out this way- this sprawling Trifecta answers the generous submissions of this Rat-calling round, and, really, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG, when blessed with so much good work?
Enjoy!
