Client’s Request: To illustrate 12 distinctive monthly mailers targeted at the boutique’s high-end clientele. Concept: Girls are always looking up (as if worshiping), set in a rather festive atmosphere. They wear nothing but the one piece to be promoted that month. Their nudity is covered by their clothes, their own hair, and their different poses. The images are sensual, yet not sexual. One girl is added every month, thus starting with 1 and ending with 12. Fernanda grew up in Buenos Aires, and moved to New York City in 2000 to study illustration at the School of Visual Arts. She loves conceptual absurdity, and she enjoys a rather subtle sense of humor in both commissioned and personal projects. Her client list includes The New York Times, Target, W Hotels, Continental Airlines, Money Magazine, Dwell, Flaunt, Harvard Business Review, Creative Time, and Mr. Ronald Lauder among others. Her work has been recognized by over 35 awards worldwide. |
