... and rains and rains and rains.  but it’s a good rain, one that cleanses your shoes ($2 green Target flip flops in my case) and makes your feet squeak and slide all over the dirt road.

Costa Rica was amazing.  lush, insanely green days filled with wild bird noises, walks in the jungle teething with howler monkey calls, cats that jump through your screen window in the middle of the night, crazy local surfer boys who ask you to buy them a beer.  and did i mention the homemade organic chocolate mint cookies?

my Costa Rica trip was long overdue.  an “extended” trip.  did you really go all by yourself? yes! and it was 3 glorious weeks of nothing. I hadn’t been travelling (other than your run-of-the-mill 10 day trip to Jamaica) in more than 4 years.  It felt damn good.  how good was it? so good that it gave me the ultimate power to quit my day job and run off to join the circus (aka: art school). hence, the photos.  enjoy.
